T-Race needs your location and your camera to work, because the whole game is walking to real places and pointing a camera at them. It does not use them for anything else.
There are no adverts, no analytics, no trackers, and nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing.
Account. If you register, your email address, a display name, and your password stored as a one-way hash — we never hold the password itself. If you play as a guest, only a display name.
Location. Your precise position, while the app is open. Two moments use it: when you mark a point as a creator, the position is saved as part of that point, and when you reach a point as a player, your position is sent with the completion so the server can confirm you were actually there. The app does not track you in the background.
Photos. Photos you take to mark a point are uploaded and shown to players of that hunt, and are used as the target the camera recognises on arrival.
Diagnostics. If something goes wrong, the app reports the error message, where in the app it happened, the app version, and your device platform and OS version. If you are signed in, your user id is attached so a report can be traced to a session.
Other players. Publishing a hunt makes its riddles, point names and point photos visible to players near its area. A hunt you have not published stays yours.
Map provider. Maps are served by Mapbox, which receives the requests needed to draw the map around you.
AI service, only if you turn it on. When you ask the app to suggest a name or riddle, that point’s photo and the riddles you have already written are sent to Anthropic to draft one. Only your own riddles are used, and only for your own hunts. If the setting is off, the button does not appear and nothing is sent.
Hosting. Data is stored on our server and in object storage run by our hosting provider.
It does not track your location when it is closed.
It does not record audio, read your contacts, or read your photo library.
It contains no advertising and no analytics SDK.
It does not sell your data, and does not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Location and camera permissions can be refused or withdrawn in your device settings at any time. Refusing location means points cannot be marked and arrival cannot be confirmed, so the game will not work — that is a limitation of the game, not a penalty.
The two settings on the About page are yours: whether AI suggestions may use your photos and riddles, and whether your games and riddles may be reviewed to improve the app. Both start switched off.
You can delete individual points and whole games from the game editor at any time.
Your games, points and photos are kept until you delete them or delete your account.
One thing outlives your account, deliberately: the progress of a crew you played in belongs to that crew, not to you, so the other players keep their game. Your name is removed from it.
You can delete your account from the About page inside the app, under Your Account. It removes your hunts, their points and their photos, and your membership of anyone else’s crews, and it cannot be undone.
If you no longer have the app installed, write to eyal.hipussit@gmail.com and ask for the account to be deleted. We will confirm when it is done.
Diagnostic reports are kept only as long as they are useful for fixing the problem they describe.
